WriteMask not working?
Most problems are one of the few below. If none of them match, send us a message at the bottom — it goes straight to us, not a ticket queue.
Humanizing usually takes 50 to 90 seconds. That is slower than most tools because your text is genuinely rebuilt rather than having synonyms swapped in. The most common report we get is someone closing the tab at 30 seconds. If you see an error after 90 seconds, it really did fail — tell us below.
Common problems
I clicked Humanize and nothing happened
Give it a full 90 seconds before assuming it has failed — rewriting is slower than most tools because the text is genuinely rebuilt rather than word-swapped. If you get an error message after that, it did fail; try once more, and if it fails again tell us below and include roughly when it happened. If you saw an empty box with no error at all, that was a bug on our side that was fixed on 31 August 2026 — you should now always get either output or a clear error.
How long should humanizing actually take?
Typically 50 to 90 seconds for a few hundred words. Longer text takes longer. It is slower than we would like and we are working on it, but a slow response is not a broken one — the most common mistake is closing the tab at 30 seconds.
It says "Something went wrong. Please try again."
That is the generic message shown when the request fails before we can tell you why. Refresh the page with Ctrl+Shift+R (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) and try once more — that clears a stale session, which is the usual cause. If it persists, send us a message below and mention which browser you are using.
It says I've reached my usage limit
Free accounts get 500 words per day, which resets at midnight UTC. Paid plans reset monthly on your billing date. You can see your remaining words at the top of the dashboard. If the number looks wrong to you, tell us — we had a bug before 31 August 2026 that counted failed attempts against your limit, and we will credit anything that was wrongly deducted.
The output doesn't sound like me
Try a different mode. Standard is the safe default; Aggressive restructures much harder; Academic keeps a formal register. Humanizing in shorter chunks — a few paragraphs at a time rather than a whole essay — usually gives you more control and a better result than one long pass.
Can you guarantee it will pass a specific AI detector?
No, and be sceptical of any tool that says otherwise. Detectors update constantly and frequently disagree with each other on the same text. You can check your own text before and after with our free AI detector, but no result is a guarantee.
I can't log in
Use the password reset link on the login page first, since most login problems are a stale session or a forgotten password. If the reset email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam, then tell us below which email address you signed up with.
